Ka Puāwai te kakano is an education, training, and resource package for motivating behaviour change and helping to set meaningful lifestyles goals.
The training itself is to learn how to answer common lifestyle questions and set meaningful lifestyle goals with your patients and clients in these 10 areas:
enjoy a healthy relationship with food
have a routine
fill up with whole foods
make water your friend
sleep well
take care of you
move
eat mindfully
cook
know what you eat
Based on Te Whare Tapa Whā and the six pillars of lifestyle medicine, this training covers having a healthy relationship with food, routine, enjoying more wholefoods and water, knowing what we eat, mindful eating, self-care, sleep, moving more and the benefits of home cooking.
