Change is constant and it can sometimes be hard to manage. This workshop will explore perception, control and aims to develop your skills to help clients navigate change.

Aim

Change is constant, yet some change is harder to manage than others. This workshop will explore change to better understand it. This workshop will look into aspects of perception and control and how these processes play a key role in managing the change before us. It will be useful for those in roles who want to develop their skills in helping clients to better navigate change, such as social workers, support people and caring professionals.

Overview & Learning Intentions

  • Explore perceptions around change; the good, the bad, the indifferent

  • Gain an understanding of Appreciative Inquiry and Solution Focused approaches to better support change

  • Understand what it means to help others hit the “minimize button”

  • Learn how to develop self efficacy in others

  • Consider the role of emotions in managing change

RN, RM, BHSc, DipBus(HRM), BSc(Hons), PGDipHealSc

Sharon has a background in health (nursing and midwifery), with over 20 years' experience in education and training on a variety of subjects, topics and issues. Her particular passion lies in supporting personal and professional development of others. She believes that effective communication is at the heart of both personal and professional success; looking at and addressing internal and external dialogue is essential for creating positive outcomes.

  • Cancellations made up to 10 working days before a workshop will incur a $39 service fee.

  • Cancellations (or non-attendance) made 10 working days or less will not be refunded and the full workshop fee will be charged. 

  • No fee applies if you are able to find a replacement participant.

  • MHERC reserves the right to cancel a workshop at any time due to unforeseen circumstances or insufficient registrations.

  • Only one person may view a webinar session per registration.
