Overview
In this workshop for practitioners we’ll explore how you can apply the principles of Trauma-Informed Care to your practice. We’ll examine how to strike an appropriate balance between the past and the present, therapeutic relationships, and therapeutic interventions. We’ll explore strategies to appropriately respond to challenges around engagement, re-traumatisation, dissociation and loyalty to trauma, and review the common elements and stages of healing.

Understand the purpose and function of depersonalisation and feelings of unreality, and how to work effectively with the broad impacts of trauma.
Learn key components and pathways to safe trauma recovery and critically reflect on your current practice and organisational approach.
Explore how to address complexity and promote healing with limited resources whilst maintaining safety and the therapeutic relationship.
