Burnout: Dampening the Burn
The challenges over the last few years, have resulted in increasing experiences of depletion, exhaustion and ultimately burnout, which has been identified as resulting from an imbalance between chronic stress and coping resources.
Description
The challenges of the past few years have left many of us feeling depleted, exhausted, and even burnt out. Burnout often stems from an imbalance between chronic stress and the resources we rely on to cope, and it can significantly impact both personal and professional wellbeing.
In this workshop, we’ll delve into the underlying causes of burnout and explore strategies to rebuild resilience. By identifying the factors that sustain and replenish our internal resources, as well as those that drain them, you’ll gain valuable insights into how to regain balance and strengthen your capacity to thrive - even under pressure.
We’ll be guided by the Te Whare Tapa Whā model, alongside relevant insights from psychosocial dynamics, neurobiology, and lifestyle approaches. This session will also be informed by professional practice and lived experience perspectives.
