Overview
This introductory workshop will look at what trauma is and how it affects people’s everyday lives. Explore current research on trauma, including vicarious trauma and gain practical skills and resources for working with trauma, including how support workers can best support those who have experienced trauma.

Relate trauma to the context of earthquakes, floods, fires and the attack on the Canterbury Muslim Community.

Who Should Attend?
Everyone supporting people who have experienced trauma, including health and allied health practitioners, care and support workers in the social and health sectors, educators, students in the health and social services sectors, and others in trusted support roles.

- Cancellations more than 10 working days before a workshop will incur a $39 service fee; alternatively, we can transfer you to another date/workshop at no charge.
- Cancellations within 10 working days (or non-attendance) are non-refundable and charged in full. Transfers may be approved for extenuating circumstances and incur a $39 fee.
