Kris Tynan

Profile

Kris Tynan has over 30 years' experience in the exercise industry in roles such as Health and Fitness Director, Weight Loss Coach and Independent Consultant. She is the author of 'The Interactive Instructor' book and a resource for Leaders of Older Adult Exercise Classes. Based in Christchurch, she has presented at conferences such as Filex (Aus), IHRSA (US), Business Grow and FitEx (NZ) and the FLAME conference (UK), and runs workshops around the country and abroad. She sits on the board of REPS (The Register of Exercise Professionals) and is a mentor for Activity Providers through the Active Canterbury Network. In 2012 she was awarded the Exercise NZ award for outstanding contribution to the industry and has recently qualified as a Functional Aging Specialist through the Functional Ageing Institute in the USA.
