Aim
Over the course of four free one-hour workshops we will learn how to use the skills of mindfulness and mindful eating to build a new and flexible relationship to food that supports our wellbeing. We will learn how to grow our capacity to reconnect with our own in-built systems for hunger and fullness as we learn to listen to the messages of our body. Participants will receive a 50 page workbook take-away tool.

Overview
• Reduce unconscious snacking and emotional eating by understanding what triggers us to eat in a reactive and compulsive way and learn how to catch this before it takes us over.
• Reduce mindless eating by becoming more aware of our full experience while eating which in turn brings us back to our innate knowing regarding what we really enjoy eating and what actually satisfies us.
• Feel good about ourselves and our body by working with the thinking patterns that make us feel guilty or uncomfortable around food choices and replace this with ways of being that support both mental and physical health and wellbeing.
• Slow down and become less reactive and more calm when making decisions around food and food intake.
• Shift the focus on control from external authorities and the 'shoulds' and 'should nots' of dieting toward knowing how to listen to our bodys own inner wisdom which empowers us to make healthier choices.
• Acknowledge that there is no right or wrong way to eat but varying degrees of awareness surrounding the experience of food and what is right for us in any moment.
