Aim
This workshop aims to present information to parents which will enable them to develop increased understanding, and use skills which come from this with their children and adolescents to build resilience mange challenging behaviours, and resolve relational conflicts including bullying. The workshop is predominantly in a lecture format, but will also include discussion both in larger and potentially smaller groups.

Overview
• Resilience: what is it, risk and protective factors, developing resilience.
• Challenging behaviours: causes and underlying issues, managing     challenging behaviours
• Positive parenting.
• Managing conflict: communication skills, understanding and validating emotions, avoiding escalation.
• Bullying.

Learning Intentions
Participants will be provided with the opportunity to:
