Aim
The aim of this course is to provide an overview of tobacco smoking and its impact on mental health issues and other addictions.

• Nicotine addiction psychopharmacology
• Smoking cessation with people who suffer from mental illness and addiction problems
• Pharmacotherapy for smoking cessation

Learning Intentions
Participants will be provided the opportunity to:
• Learn about how tobacco smoking impacts on those who suffer from mental illness and other addictions
• Be informed about the psychopharmacology of nicotine addiction
• Review the evidence base for smoking cessation interventions
